Questions and Answers
About Massage Therapy

People who have not had a massage usually have a lot of questions. We would like to take this opportunity to answer a few of the most commonly asked questions:

Q.  Who does the massage?
A.  A person Certified in Massage Therapy gives the massage. Certification means that the person has completed a massage therapy training program that has prepared them to give massage by taking classes in Anatomy, Pathology, Swedish and Deep Tissue massage, as well as other coursework.

Q.  What kind of massage will I get?
A.  After the Certified Massage Therapist has you complete a health history questionnaire, some time is spent asking you what you need to have treated. You have a choice of receiving a Swedish Massage which is a lighter massage used to relax you and increase circulation. You may also choose to have a Deep Tissue massage which is deeper muscle massage to relieve muscle tension and cramping.

Q.  What do I wear?
A.  A Certified Massage Therapist will leave the room so that you can get ready on the massage table. You may choose to wear a sports bra, shorts, socks and any other undergarment you choose. Massage can be done clothed as well. You will always be under a sheet as to ensure comfort and modesty.
