CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS
For Nationally Certified Massage Therapists, RN's, & LPN's
Massage Therapists
TFHKA is approved form the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers (NCBTMB) as a continuing education provider # 050467-00.
This allows all qualifying instructors to give continuing education credits to nationally certified Massage Therapists for their certification renewal.
Continuing education certificates for students are kept on file in the office for a period of 7 years.
RN's
TFHKA is approved by the Board of Registered Nursing in California, Continuing Education Provider # CEP 13015, for RN's and LPN's in all
states except Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Nevada, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota and Wyoming.
Instructors in those states can apply directly with the appropriate state-licensing agency to provide continuing education credit to nurses.
Certificates are kept on file in this office for a period of no less than 5 years.
Compliance for Touch for Health instructors is the same as for massage therapist CEU's, except instructor need to provide the student's license number.
Advertising for RN's and LPN's for the California Board of Registered Nursing must read as follows: "Provider approved by the California Board of registered Nursing, Provider number CEP 13015, for _______________ contact hours."
Advertising must also have a refund/cancellation policy (including time lines), a clear, concise description of the course content and/ or objectives and the provider name stated as it is officially on file with the Board of Registered Nursing (Touch for Health Kinesiology Association).
Classroom hours must be more than one hour, no maximum or classroom hours per level and nurses receive 1.2 hours of CEU credit per one hour of class room time, i.e. 16 hours of class time equals 19.2 credits.
